Our Team
Lorna Jean
Lorna works as a Life Coach and a Community Mental Health Officer specialising in neurodiverse adults, with over 19 years of experience. In her spare time she volunteer’s with Mental Health Motorbike, a nationwide charity supporting the biker community. Having lived with her own struggles with mental health since a teenager, Lorna is a fierce advocate for speaking up and talking, especially during times we don’t want to. She removed the shame and embraced who she was, realising it was that mindset that was holding her back.
In 2019 Lorna lost her husband to suicide and then her friend in 2022. With a passion for writing she shares her journey in the hope someone else wont feel alone, during times in life it seems the most loneliest. She brings new, fresh perspective on life through analogies and a quirky take on the crazy game called life.
A strong believer in the power of community and bringing life back to where we live, Lorna is on a mission to empower people in their local areas to bring back positive impact for all. She wants to remove the stigma around mental mental, and normalise the conversations we wish we could have, but feel too scared to engage with. Life is difficult for both sexes, we are entering unprecedented change, and need to lean on each other more than ever, rather than continuing the disjointed communities we see around us.
Lorna is kind, compassionate and understanding. In her life she has experienced homelessness, sexual assault, physical and mental abuse, child loss, and bereavement more times than she thought possible. At 37 years of age and a parent to a teenager, life has tested her to the max, but ultimately made her more determined to help others and share her knowledge. Lorna started volunteering at 9 years of age and hasn’t stopped since. It’s a driving force behind her and she is determined to bring change and hope to as many people as she can.
